Every Supermeal needs its perfect sidekick.

Imagine all the things you love to eat, from samosas to pakoras, dosas, idli, vada all the way to dhoklas. Whether you’re from the north or south, east or west, every perfect dish needs a perfect chutney to pair it with.

When you’re in Hyderabad you’ve gotta try the amazing chutneys at this Banjara Hills outlet:

Guntur idli

Hyderabad’s Chutneys Coffee House is best known for binging on south Indian tiffin delicacies. Resembling a mess hall that’s capable of feeding an extremely large and hungry set of diners, Chutneys is a pioneer in serving delectable vegetarian dishes that come with tangy chutney. Chutneys at Banjara Hills was the first branch of the chain and was opened in 2000. Just as the name suggests, this restaurant serves a variety of 6 different chutneys for every idli and dosa.

The famous guntur idli is Covered in a red powder, called the Guntur masala. It’s a mix of red chilli powder and different types of lentils – urad, masoor, moong and channa. This exquisite masala is then mixed with a touch of ghee, which sends shivers of incredible joy across your palate. Priced at ₹142 approx. per plate (2 pieces), this dish is known for “melting in your mouth”.

So petite and yet completely holding you in its grips the guntur idlis at Chutneys is an apt inheritor of the cultural finesse of Hyderabad.

We assure you that this Guntur idli is a MUST HAVE in the city of pearls.
